Life and work
The story behind the role.
Tayyab Ikram's career in hockey spans coaching, development, continental administration and international governance. He has worked with Pakistan and China and has served on high-performance, development and coaching bodies within the sport.
Before becoming president, he held roles connected with the Asian Hockey Federation, the Olympic Council of Asia and several international sport commissions. He joined the FIH Executive Board in 2016 and was elected the federation's 13th president in November 2022.
