Chris Gotterup won the Sony Open in Hawaii at 16-under, finishing two strokes ahead of Ryan Gerard. His final-round 64 closed the first PGA Tour tournament of the calendar year at Waialae Country Club.
The victory was Gotterup's third on the PGA Tour and extended his run of winning in three consecutive seasons. Waialae's narrow routing and wind exposure made accuracy and controlled scoring central to the week rather than raw distance alone.
