Fenerbahçe beat Galatasaray 2-0 in the Turkcell Super Cup final at Atatürk Olympic Stadium on 10 January. The competition used a four-team format for the first time, with semifinals staged in Gaziantep and Adana before the Istanbul final.
Galatasaray reached the final by defeating Trabzonspor 4-1, while Fenerbahçe came through the other semifinal against Samsunspor. The format expanded a traditionally single-match trophy into a three-match national event across three cities.
