Scottie Scheffler won The American Express with a 27-under total of 261. A final-round 66 at PGA West gave the world No.1 a four-shot margin over Jason Day and Ryan Gerard.
The title was Scheffler's 20th PGA Tour victory, the threshold for a lifetime membership under Tour regulations. The desert event used multiple courses before the closing round on the Stadium Course, so the final ranking combined performance across changing layouts.
