United States completes a perfect U18 women's world championship
Bianca Birrittieri stopped all 38 shots as the United States beat host Canada 2-0 for its tenth IIHF U18 Women's World Championship gold.

The United States defeated Canada 2-0 in the gold-medal game behind goals from Emily Pohl and Lindsay Stepnowski. Goaltender Bianca Birrittieri produced a 38-save shutout against sustained Canadian pressure.
The Americans won every game without trailing or returning to a tie after the opening 0-0, the first perfect-gold run in tournament history. The title was the United States' tenth at the under-18 women's world championship.
