Adam Lewis KC is a Blackstone Chambers barrister whose practice covers sporting, disciplinary, regulatory and commercial disputes for participants, clubs, leagues, governing bodies and commercial partners. His official chambers profile records a 1985 call to the Bar, appointment as King's Counsel in 2009 and an MA from the University of Cambridge.
Lewis advises and appears in domestic and international proceedings, including before the Court of Arbitration for Sport. His work has addressed financial regulation, salary caps, club ownership, intermediaries, broadcast rights, anti-doping, disciplinary process and the legality of sports governing-body rules across football, rugby, tennis, cricket, golf and other sports.
He is president of the British Association for Sport and the Law, co-editor of Sport: Law and Practice, and teaches on the association's postgraduate certificate course. In 2017 and 2018 he chaired the Independent Review of Integrity in Tennis, a dated inquiry role distinct from his current professional appointments.
