The story behind the role.

Albayrak, born in Ankara in 1970, began tennis in childhood and represented Türkiye repeatedly at under-age, junior and senior national-team levels between 1986 and 1997. The federation biography credits him with a Turkish men’s doubles championship and a national singles runner-up finish.
He completed an undergraduate civil-engineering degree at Middle East Technical University in 1993 and a master’s degree there in 1995. After private-sector work, he spent ten years at the General Directorate of State Airports Authority and then 16 years on the Sabiha Gökçen Airport project in managerial, director and deputy-general-manager posts, ultimately serving as airport CEO.
