Tufts defender and 2014 NCAA champion who represented Türkiye at the world championship.

Life and work
The story behind the role.
Cem Kalkavan played defence for Tufts University and represented Türkiye at the 2014 world lacrosse championship. World Lacrosse’s national-team announcement lists him as Cem Yilmaz Kalkavan of Tufts, linking the longer roster name to his university career.
Tufts’ archive identifies St. Andrew’s as his high school and records him on its 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 rosters. He wore number 34 and was listed as a senior in 2015.
He was part of the Tufts defence in the 12–9 NCAA Division III championship victory over Salisbury on 25 May 2014. The university’s match report specifically names him among the defenders who limited Salisbury’s quality shooting opportunities. Earlier that month, it recorded four ground balls for him in the NESCAC championship victory over Amherst.
His 2015 match reports include three caused turnovers in the NESCAC quarter-final win over Hamilton on 25 April. For Türkiye, World Lacrosse records a goal against Italy during the Denver championship.
