Life and work
The story behind the role.
Danijel Zenkovic is an Austrian football coach and education-sciences graduate. Trabzonspor's current senior-team register lists him as an assistant coach. Born in Cazin in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he built much of his early coaching career in youth development, including work in Salzburg and three years at Ajax before joining Austrian Bundesliga club TSV Hartberg.
Werder Bremen appointed Zenkovic assistant coach in August 2020 and later recorded his January 2022 move to Club Brugge. He briefly led Werder as interim head coach in November 2021. LASK's official announcement says he holds a UEFA Pro Licence and, before joining its staff in 2024, had also coached RB Leipzig under-19s. The German Football Association records senior or national-competition coaching matches with Werder Bremen and RB Leipzig under-19s.
