He completed physical education studies at Dokuz Eylül University in 1985, a Çukurova University master’s in 1996 and a Çukurova educational-sciences doctorate in 2002.
His master’s examined anxiety and interpersonal relationships among professional footballers; his doctorate investigated psychological skills in professional football. İstanbul Gelişim University lists him in sports management.
