Coaches
Fabián Gelibter
Padel pioneer in Málaga, international coach educator and Türkiye national-team head coach.
Life and work
The story behind the role.
Gelibter studied physical education in Buenos Aires and moved from Argentina to Málaga with his family in 1988. He initially worked in teaching, tennis training, gymnastics and physical preparation before becoming involved in the then little-known sport of padel.
He began teaching padel after meeting players connected with Marbella and founded Miraflores Club, described as Málaga city's first padel club, in April 1993. He later organised competitions, introduced coach education to Málaga and worked as a referee.
His later career expanded into international courses for coaches, players and officials. The same development path led to his appointment as Türkiye's national-team coach.
