Life and work
The story behind the role.
Ferit Ercan began sailing in 2000 and has remained active as both an athlete and coach. His coaching and instruction have covered Optimist, ILCA, 29er, Techno 293, iQFOiL and yacht classes.
Ercan studied sport management at Kocaeli University and Bahçeşehir University at undergraduate and master's levels. He joined the federation's Techno 293 programme in 2021, coached Türkiye's women's iQFOiL entry at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and is listed as continuing with the Olympic team.
