Life and work
The story behind the role.
Filiz Fatma Çolakoğlu is a professor in Gazi University's Physical Education and Sport Education Department. She completed her undergraduate degree at Gazi from 1990 to 1994, master's study in 1994–95 and doctoral study in physical education and sport from 1997 to 2003.
Her academic progression at Gazi runs from research assistant (1995–2003) through lecturer, assistant professor and associate professor to professor from 2017. She served as department vice-chair in 2008–09 and again in 2018–19; both are historical rather than current appointments.
Her documented supervision covers physical-education curricula, youth physical-activity motivation, proprioceptive training in adolescent volleyball players, endurance recovery and isotonic drinks, and student health and quality of life.
