Galatasaray men’s basketball assistant coach.
Life and work
The story behind the role.
Gökhan Turan is listed as an assistant coach on Galatasaray’s current men’s basketball technical staff. A club announcement from August 2022 already placed him in the senior team’s assistant-coaching group, documenting continuity across several seasons.
Galatasaray reported that Turan led the side for a preseason win over Aliağa Petkim Spor on 28 August 2025 while the head coach was absent. The club also assigned him to lead the team for its 4 January 2026 Basketball Super League match against Glint Manisa Basket.
