The story behind the role.
Gülşah Başandaç graduated in physiotherapy and rehabilitation from Hacettepe University, completing part of her undergraduate education in the Netherlands. She subsequently earned a sports physiotherapy master’s degree and a doctorate at Hacettepe; her doctoral work examined core stabilization in athletes. Her career includes club and clinical work in manual therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation and sports rehabilitation.
PT Academy identifies her as its founding physiotherapist and records national-team assignments involving Türkiye’s football, basketball, volleyball and taekwondo federations. Her work includes athlete performance testing, injury-risk assessment and rehabilitation for Turkish, international and Olympic athletes. The clinic also records teaching at Acıbadem University and courses on taping, corrective exercise and functional movement.
