Life and work
The story behind the role.
Gürhan Dönmez trained in medicine at Ege University, graduating in 2005, and completed sports medicine specialty training at Hacettepe University between 2006 and 2011. His specialty research examined immobilization and vibration in relation to the Achilles tendon. He subsequently fulfilled public service at Gaziantep Dr. Ersin Arslan State Hospital during 2011–2013.
His documented sports work includes helping develop Galatasaray’s youth health system, coordinating local medical organization in Gaziantep for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and serving with Türkiye’s women’s football and basketball teams. His institutional biography also records work with weightlifting and modern pentathlon federation health boards and a 2014 clinical observership in Barcelona.
