The story behind the role.
Halime Pulat Demir completed a nutrition and dietetics bachelor’s degree at Hacettepe University in 2002, a master’s degree at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University in 2005 and a nutrition doctorate at Istanbul University in 2011. Her doctoral thesis examined nutrition, physical activity and obesity among primary-school children from different socioeconomic backgrounds.
Her Istanbul Gelişim University record lists teaching in sports nutrition, sports nutrition and ergogenic aids, and nutritional supplements. It also records supervision of a 2021 Turkish validation study of a sports nutrition knowledge questionnaire among physical-education and sport students and graduates. The directory marks her as a former researcher, so this affiliation is historical.
