Life and work
The story behind the role.
İrfan Yıldırım is listed by Mersin University as a professor in the Faculty of Sport Sciences' Recreation department.
İrfan Yıldırım's university academic profile documents research connected to sport and exercise. The university profile's recent-publication panel, reviewed in October 2026, includes “Exploring university students’ management of leisure and awareness of recreational benefits”, “Investigation of University Students Recreation Benefit Awareness and Participation in Recreational Activities”, “Investigation of the Relationship Between Type II Diabetes Risk Factors and Physical Activity Levels in Female University Students”.
The sources establish a current Türkiye university affiliation and academic work in sport sciences. They do not by themselves prove citizenship, an athlete or coaching role, or a complete education and employment history, so no additional role or transition is inferred. A same-named sports-register profile already exists in the directory, but the available official records do not explicitly connect that identity to this Mersin University academic; the records therefore remain separate.
