The story behind the role.

Jill Cook is an Australian physiotherapist and tendon researcher. La Trobe University currently lists her as Emeritus Professor in its Department of Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Prosthetics and Orthotics; the university's Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre profile documents more than 30 years of research and clinical work on lower-limb tendinopathy.

Cook completed her PhD in 2000 and subsequently investigated tendon pathology, risk factors and treatment, while maintaining a specialist tendon practice and teaching internationally. Her work is presented here as a combination of academic research, specialist clinical practice and professional education rather than as a current team appointment.

In the 2023 Australia Day Honours, Cook was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to physiotherapy and sports medicine. La Trobe's current staff listing identifies her emeritus status, distinguishing it from earlier profile material that described her active professorial appointment.

Jill Cook, (born 1954) is a British museum curator who is the acting Keeper of the Department of Britain, Europe and Prehistory at the British Museum. She curates the collection of European Prehistory and is a specialist in Ice Age art and the archaeology of human evolution.
