Life and work

The story behind the role.

Born in Istanbul in 1985, he is the son of former assistant referee Fahir Ersoy. He began a referee course in February 2001 at age 16, later returned after concentrating on his education, and reached classified refereeing in 2006.

He graduated in chemistry from Istanbul University. His TFF interview describes work in pharmaceutical production followed by dangerous-goods safety consultancy, which he could combine more readily with refereeing.

He identifies UEFA’s CORE course as an important development stage and recalls his first professional assignment in the Istanbulspor–Galatasaray PAF match on 12 March 2005.
