Bulgarian outside hitter in a second Halkbank spell after major European club success.
Life and work
The story behind the role.
Matey Kaziyski is a Bulgarian outside hitter whose CEV record spans Slavia Sofia, Lukoil Neftohimik Burgas, Dinamo Moscow, Trentino, Halkbank and Allianz Milano in European competition, alongside senior national-team appearances for Bulgaria.
Kaziyski first played for Halkbank in 2013–14, when the club says he won the Turkish league, Turkish Cup and Super Cup and reached the CEV Champions League final. He returned to Ankara in October 2025, remained on the 2026–27 roster and played in Halkbank's October 2026 Giganci Siatkówki tournament squad. The club profile's displayed birth year conflicts with established competition records, so it is omitted here.
