Mehmet Günay
Gazi University professor, university-sport administrator and TFF A-licensed football coach.

Life and work
The story behind the role.
Mehmet Günay is a professor in Gazi University's Physical Education and Sport Education Department. He completed physical-education and sport-teaching study at Gazi from 1983 to 1987, a master's degree there from 1987 to 1989 and a doctorate from 1989 to 1993; his theses examined footballers' muscular strength and the effects of different strength-training methods on body composition.
His official record includes a Turkish Football Federation A coaching licence earned in 1994 and a documented 2018 appointment as technical lead of Türkiye's university karate national team. These records support his coaching role without inferring an unrecorded current club appointment.
Gazi records him as a professor since 2002, president of the Sports Sciences Association and vice-president of the Turkish University Sports Federation since 2017. Historical posts include Gazi faculty dean and school director from 2016 to 2020 and delegation leadership at the 2017 Taipei and 2019 Naples Universiades.
