Nedim Yücel
Former Türkiye international and Beşiktaş player who became general manager of the club and the men's national team.
Life and work
The story behind the role.
Nedim Yücel is a former Turkish international basketball player and a current basketball executive. Beşiktaş's historical biography records that he entered the club's youth system in 1991, later represented the first team and earned ten senior national-team appearances.
Beşiktaş appointed Yücel general manager of its basketball branch in 2023, describing him as a former player who had spent sixteen seasons in the club's system from the youngest age group onward. The club's current men's staff directory continues to list him as general coordinator, while the Türkiye Basketball Federation lists him as general manager of the senior men's national team.
The federation's February 2026 squad notice connects both appointments by naming Yücel as Türkiye's senior men's national-team general manager and identifying Beşiktaş as his club. His earlier playing record and current administrative work are therefore retained together in one profile.
