He completed an Ondokuz Mayıs University bachelor’s in 1999 and master’s in 2001, followed by a Marmara University doctorate in 2009. His doctoral research compared lung-volume and respiratory measures in elite swimmers and footballers.
His academic record lists postdoctoral work at the University of Portsmouth during 2011–2013, Ministry of Youth and Sports conditioning work during 2014–2017, and promotion to professor in 2024.
