Simge Aköz is a Türkiye national-team libero who joined Eczacıbaşı in the 2016–17 season after playing for Yeşilyurt, Çanakkale Belediyespor and Halkbank. Her international honours include the 2023 Nations League and European titles, European silver in 2019 and Nations League silver in 2018. She was named best libero at the 2019 European Championship and at the European Olympic qualification tournament for Tokyo. Her Eczacıbaşı honours include the 2016 Club World Championship and the 2018 and 2022 CEV Cups.
