The story behind the role.
Karanfil is listed on Hacettepe University’s sports-medicine faculty. His university research record documents undergraduate study at Başkent University from 2004 to 2010 and medical-specialist training at Hacettepe from 2011 to 2016. His specialist research examined running-related cartilage changes using magnetic resonance imaging.
Hacettepe records his appointment as Türkiye’s men’s artistic-gymnastics team doctor at the European Championships in Rimini on 24–28 April 2024. The Türkiye Triathlon Federation separately lists him on its scientific board. His publication record includes musculoskeletal ultrasound, athlete shoulder adaptations and rehabilitation.
