What the publication reports
Twenty-six boys were recruited and 21 completed both sessions, separated by one week; the untreated opposite limb provided a within-person comparison. Small immediate mobility improvements also occurred in control limbs, with no intervention superiority for primary outcomes, no strength benefit and little balance change.
Limits and interpretation
The sample was small, male-only and assessed immediate effects. The assessor was not blinded and the opposite limb is not a fully independent control. No reduction in injuries or durable functional benefit was demonstrated.
