What the publication reports
Forty-two studies from 18 countries were selected from 929 records. The literature described technology for performance assessment, equipment design and injury-risk questions across several Paralympic disciplines.
Limits and interpretation
Evidence was concentrated in high-income settings and athletes with spinal cord injury or amputation. Neurological and visual impairments, non-wheelchair sports, long-term outcomes, affordability and equitable access were under-represented.
