What the publication reports
Players were randomized within age groups. Under-19 players improved knee-extension strength, while jump height and change-of-direction performance showed no relevant change. Strength gains declined during three weeks without the programme.
Limits and interpretation
Small age-specific subgroups and short follow-up limit precision. Strength improvements did not establish better match performance or fewer injuries, and nonsignificant trends should not be treated as confirmed benefits.
