What the publication reports
Thirty-six studies included 921 participants. Jumping, sprinting, throwing and agility improved on average. Upper-body strength improved, while lower-body strength did not show a clear benefit.
Limits and interpretation
Certainty ranged from very low to moderate. Frequency, programme length and ground contacts did not consistently explain outcomes, so the review does not establish one optimal training dose.
