What the publication reports
The pooled analyses favoured exercise-based programmes for shoulder, lower-limb, knee, ACL and ankle injuries. The review searched five databases and considered injury outcomes specifically in handball players.
Limits and interpretation
The included studies used different reporting methods, including athlete, coach and physiotherapist reports. Pooled associations do not identify one best programme for every team.
