What the publication reports
Ten studies were included. Pooled estimates leaned towards slower and less accurate throws, but confidence intervals crossed no effect for both outcomes. Results differed greatly across protocols and throwing tasks.
Limits and interpretation
Very high heterogeneity and imprecise estimates prevent a firm claim that every fatigue protocol reduces throwing performance. Local muscle fatigue and game-related fatigue are not interchangeable.
