What the publication reports

The consensus combines a systematic literature review with a Delphi process. It recommends regular screening with validated instruments and care that addresses both individual needs and the training and competition environment. It updates the IOC's 2019 statement.

Limits and interpretation

Consensus recommendations are not results from a treatment trial. Implementation must account for clinical needs, culture and local access to qualified care.
