What the publication reports
Sixty-one para-athletes were monitored for 50 weeks. High stress was associated with greater odds of gradual-onset injury status, and high fatigue with substantial gradual-onset injury status in the following week.
Limits and interpretation
Associations from one Brazilian cohort do not prove that a wellness score caused injury or define a universal intervention threshold. Self-report, multiple comparisons and sport and impairment differences limit generalization.
