What the publication reports
Eleven randomized trials covered 135 players. Casein and curcumin showed promising short-term physical or perceived recovery results, while several other interventions produced mixed or negligible effects.
Limits and interpretation
Eighty-two percent of studies had high risk of bias. Small samples, differing protocols and limited female participation prevent firm recommendations or general supplement prescriptions.
