What the publication reports
Across a competitive season, total injury incidence did not differ clearly between groups. The intervention group had a reported 34% lower severe-injury rate and fewer ligament injuries, while minor muscle injuries increased modestly. Injury outcomes were adjusted for training exposure.
Limits and interpretation
Findings concern elite athletes in one national setting and should not be generalized to all ages or combat sports. Changes in injury severity do not establish fewer injuries overall or prove a particular biomechanical mechanism.
