What the publication reports
The study enrolled 317 players aged 18–75 and assessed outcomes every three months. Adherence improved over time. High adherence was not consistently associated with fewer injuries, although lower injury frequency and overuse injuries were observed at 12 months.
Limits and interpretation
Players were not randomized by adherence, and the isolated late association does not establish prevention efficacy. Results concern recreational adults. First published online in November 2025, the paper appeared in the January–February 2026 issue.
