Rhasidat Adeleke returned to racing for the first time since July 2025 and improved her Irish 300m record at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville. The Tallaght athlete ran 36.30 for second place, lowering her February 2024 mark of 36.42.

Jamaica’s Stacey-Ann Williams won in 35.92. Athletics Ireland identified Adeleke’s performance as a national record subject to ratification, providing a new benchmark at the start of the 23-year-old’s competitive season.

Elsewhere in the United States, Lucy-May Sleeman ran a season’s best 7.28 over 60m at Clemson’s Tiger Paw Invitational. She also improved her 200m personal best to 23.68, becoming ninth on Ireland’s indoor list. Laura Nicholson placed fourth over 1500m in Perth in 4:07.52.
