Adrian Gill leaves Barcelona for Atlanta United
Barcelona retained a share of any future sale as the US midfielder’s academy spell ended.

Barcelona announced an agreement to transfer Adrian Simon Gill to Atlanta United. The club said it would retain a percentage of any future sale of the American midfielder, confirming a permanent departure to the MLS side.
Gill was born in Denver on 3 January 2006 and entered Barcelona’s youth system from UE Cornellà in the summer of 2018. The move ended seven and a half seasons with the Catalan club, beginning in its academy.
The statement also explained that injuries had disrupted Gill’s development in recent seasons. He had been unable to establish a sustained run with either the U19A side or Barça Atlètic before the agreement to continue his career with Atlanta.
