Paris Saint-Germain retained the UEFA Champions League title on 30 May 2026, beating Arsenal 4-3 in a penalty shootout at Puskás Aréna. Normal time and extra time produced a 1-1 draw.
Kai Havertz put Arsenal ahead in the sixth minute. Ousmane Dembélé equalised from the penalty spot in the 65th after a foul on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Neither side scored in extra time.
In the shootout, Eberechi Eze missed and David Raya saved Nuno Mendes’s attempt. Gabriel’s unsuccessful final kick settled the title in Paris’s favour. UEFA named Vitinha player of the match.
The result made Paris the first club to defend the trophy since Real Madrid in 2018. It was Luis Enrique’s third Champions League title as a coach. The 2026 final was the twelfth European Cup or Champions League decider settled by penalties.
