World Rowing’s Congress in Amsterdam confirmed a series of event allocations and council appointments on 31 August. Plovdiv received the combined 2027 Under-19 and Under-23 championships, while Racice was assigned the 2028 final Olympic and Paralympic qualification regatta and World Cup II.

Asuncion was selected for the 2029 Masters Regatta. Five commission chairs were re-elected for four-year terms: Henk Jan Zwolle, Eva Szanto, Ronald Chen, Rebecca Thomas-Orr and Angela Alonso Fernandez, covering competitive rowing, events, masters, Para rowing and umpiring respectively.

The Bahamas received provisional membership, conditional on confirmation from its national Olympic committee. That status was not full unconditional admission. Congress also discussed preparations for Los Angeles 2028 and future regulatory work; prospective rule changes were not described as already operational. The decisions established a governance and hosting framework distinct from the championship racing results.
