Clara Schöne starts the Pro Licence course
Bayern Women’s assistant coach described how advanced study fits alongside first-team responsibilities.
Source publication date:
FC Bayern Women assistant coach Clara Schöne began her Pro Licence course on 20 January, joining 16 other participants. In a club interview, she explained that the step came two years after her A Licence and after settling into first-team coaching responsibilities.
The course combines monthly blocks from Sunday to Wednesday with assignments between meetings. Schöne described practical work on training sessions, video analysis and defensive principles, alongside exchanges with coaches working across men’s and women’s football.
Her pathway included coaching Bayern’s reserves before assisting José Barcala alongside Kjetil Lone. Schöne said Barcala’s detailed individual coaching and structured communication inform her daily work, while Vincent Kompany’s calm manner and involvement on the training pitch provide another example.
