Milano Cortina organisers unveiled the creative themes and first performers for the Paralympic ceremonies with fifty days remaining before the Games. The opening ceremony at Verona Arena on March 6 will use the theme Life in Motion to celebrate change and movement.
Stewart Copeland and Italian music trio Meduza were announced among the opening performers. Organisers said twenty million euros had been invested in accessibility across Verona, and athlete involvement had shaped planning through collaboration with national committees and the IPC Athletes’ Council.
The closing ceremony, Italian Souvenir, takes place at Cortina’s curling stadium on March 15, with Arisa among the confirmed artists. Public recordings for the opening finale are also being collected through the Volare Milano Cortina initiative launched alongside the announcement.
