World Aquatics opened applications to host future artistic swimming competitions. The invitation covered World Cup events from 2027 to 2030 and youth and junior championships from 2028 to 2030, as the 2026 World Cup season was underway.

Interested organisers were required to submit an expression of interest and a non-disclosure agreement by 15 May. The candidate phase then called for evidence of technical capability, financing and operational readiness, supported by a bid guide and application questionnaire.

Final submissions and signed hosting agreements were due on 3 July. Shortlisted bidders could attend an observer programme and discuss requirements with federation staff. This was the opening of a selection process, rather than confirmation that any particular city had secured a future championship.
