Brazil’s CBDU approved to host 2028 FISU World Forum
The committee also reviewed preparations for upcoming university Games.

FISU’s Executive Committee approved the Brazilian University Sports Confederation to host the 2028 World Forum. The decision was announced on the second day of its Ulaanbaatar meeting, alongside plans for a more strategically focused forum.
The committee reviewed the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 final report and heard updates from Changchun 2027 and Chungcheong 2027 organisers. Chungcheong preparations included new leadership and work around the 400-day milestone.
North Carolina 2029 chair and chief executive Hill Carrow also reported on preparations. FISU confirmed its next in-person Executive Committee meeting for 12 January 2027 in Changchun, linking the governance calendar with the approaching winter event.
