Guto Miguel and Sun lead the junior tennis finals race
The August snapshot outlined the Chengdu qualification process and development grants.
Source publication date:
Luis Guto Miguel of Brazil and Sun Xinran of China led the boys’ and girls’ qualification rankings for the World Tennis Tour Junior Finals in the federation’s 27 August update. This was a standings snapshot before the post-US Open cutoff, not the final qualified field.
The Chengdu competition was scheduled for 21–25 October, featuring eight boys and eight girls in the 18-and-under category. The qualification rules included provisions for a Chinese player’s place if the applicable ranking conditions were met.
The event offered winners up to 1,000 junior ranking points, with total travel grants exceeding USD 220,000. Both singles champions could receive up to USD 23,000 in grants. Those incentives support the professional pathway; the August report did not establish who would win or ultimately qualify.
