Phoenix retain Angus Glover through NBL28
The sixth man award winner agreed a new two-year contract with South East Melbourne.
Source publication date:
South East Melbourne Phoenix re-signed Angus Glover on a two-year contract running through the NBL28 season. The agreement retains a player whose career-best campaign earned the league's best sixth man award, the first such recognition for a Phoenix player.
Glover recorded personal season highs in points, rebounds and made three-pointers during his eighth NBL season. The Australian international and two-time champion became an important part of coach Josh King's offence and remained within the club's leadership group.
Basketball operations general manager Simon Mitchell highlighted Glover's shooting and contribution to team cohesion. The guard joined Nathan Sobey, Jordi Hunter, Owen Foxwell and DJ Mitchell among the contracted players for the next season as Phoenix sought continuity around their established squad.
