Scotland Club XV head coach Bob McKillop invited thirty-eight players into a training group ahead of the representative match against Ireland Club XV. The fixture is set for February 13 at Energia Park in Donnybrook, with the Dalriada Cup at stake.

Selection drew on performances in the Inter-District Championships involving Glasgow and the West, the South, Edinburgh and Caledonia Reds. The first training session was scheduled for January 25, with two further gatherings before the final match squad is announced.

Scottish Rugby linked the programme to opportunities for leading domestic club players to test themselves internationally. The fixture dates back to 2006 and returns with a scheduled evening kick-off and online coverage through Irish Rugby’s streaming service for supporters.
