The ISU European Short Track Championships brought 120 skaters from 25 countries to Tilburg from 16 to 18 January. The programme included women's and men's 500 m, 1000 m and 1500 m races plus three relay events.

The Netherlands won the women's 3000 m relay and mixed 2000 m relay, while Italy took the men's 5000 m relay. As the last continental championship before the Winter Olympics, Tilburg gave teams a competition-level test of starts, passing, relay exchanges and penalty risk.
