An Se-young and Kunlavut Vitidsarn lead the Malaysia Open winners
The first tournament of the 2026 BWF World Tour ended with five champion entries across singles and doubles at Axiata Arena.

An Se-young won the women's singles title and Kunlavut Vitidsarn took the men's singles crown at the Malaysia Open, a BWF World Tour Super 1000 event staged from 6 to 11 January. The tournament opened the 2026 World Tour at Axiata Arena.
Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-jae won men's doubles, Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning took women's doubles, and Feng Yanzhe with Huang Dongping won mixed doubles. Recording all five disciplines keeps the event from being reduced to its singles headlines.
